meditation a journey to the heart
Meditation class is starting this Autumn 2017
in St Dominic's retreat House Ennismore Cork
this a partly guided meditation
it is a drop in centre so do drop inAll are welcome
start 7.30
finish 8.20
5min break half way through.
John Main says:
"meditation is a journey to the Heart and the Mantra is the vehicle that takes us there"
'Be still and know that I am God', is what we find in the bible.
"Fidelity to the morning and evening meditation is nothing less than essential" (Main,word into life)
"say your Mantra for the full 20 minutes morning /evening. It is hard but that is what it takes" (ibid)
My own experience is like that of riding the white water rapids, scary at first, too much change, too fast, very very fast, omg just missed that huge bolder and wait a minute, I Can navigate this, I can do it, I am able to ride the rapids, omg this is brilliant, I never thought it could be so Exhilarating.
then OMG how did I ever manage without it?
of course I didn't manage or maybe I did just manage.
Now I can say life is really different to what I had thought it was.
Different is too small a word, in fact words fail to describe it at all, so just do it! of course the idea is to let go of words.
